Beautiful, brilliant ruby core with delicate raspberry rim. A swirl of the glass induces cascades of subtle scarlet. With a little coaxing the evocative nose opens on ripe fruit with ethereal mesquite quality with medium intensity. Notes of red cherry, black plum, and candied cranberry. Succulent and extraordinarily juicy on the palate with dense concentration and rich mouthfeel. Ripe with strawberry jam, vanillin, and delicate herbs de Provençe. Seamless integration of jammy juiciness, vibrant acidity, and delicate tannins makes for an artfully balanced wine. Drink now through 2018.
This wine screams for food. Anything from ribs to poultry or fish rubbed with black pepper, garlic sea salt and crushed red peppers with a little brown sugar will bring out the incredible mix of rich and dark fruit in the wine. Want something simple? Grill anything and spread sweet and spicy BBQ sauce all over it. But don’t just limit your menu to BBQ when you enjoy this wine.
